PROGRAM
Mercedes-AMG’s motorsport heritage is defined by engineering excellence, relentless performance development, and a deep connection between road-going innovation and track-proven technology.
Originally rising to international prominence through touring cars and GT competition, AMG became synonymous with powerhouse engines and customer racing success long before its modern dominance. The launch of the SLS AMG GT3 in 2010 marked the beginning of a new era, introducing a globally supported factory-customer racing platform capable of winning the world’s most demanding endurance events.
That legacy evolved further with the introduction of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 and GT3 Evo, which rapidly became benchmarks in worldwide GT competition, earning championships and victories across the Nürburgring 24 Hours, the Bathurst 12 Hour, GT World Challenge platforms, and IMSA. The brand’s dedication to global accessibility, engineering durability, and long-distance pace allowed factory and privateer teams alike to compete at the highest level, creating one of motorsport’s most successful GT ecosystems.
Parallel to its sports car success, Mercedes established one of the most successful runs in modern Formula One history. With the introduction of the hybrid turbo era in 2014, Mercedes achieved unprecedented dominance, securing multiple Drivers’ and Constructors’ World Championships with technology developed in close technical relationship with AMG High Performance Powertrains. Drivers such as Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg helped define this period with championships, pole positions, and race wins that reshaped modern Formula One benchmarks.
Today, Mercedes-AMG continues to compete across GT3, GT4, and Formula One platforms worldwide, with future commitments extending toward hybrid and electric performance development. Whether navigating the unforgiving Nordschleife or the global stage of Formula One, AMG’s motorsport identity remains rooted in precision engineering, competitive ambition, and a philosophy where performance and heritage move forward together.
