DRIES VANTHOOR

Dries Vanthoor represents the modern endurance driver, precise, relentless, and deeply connected to the evolving story of European GT racing.
Born in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium in 1998, Dries Vanthoor has become one of the defining GT drivers of his generation, a two-time 24 Hours of Spa winner, GT World Challenge Europe champion, and trusted works driver for both Audi Sport and BMW M Motorsport.

The younger brother of Porsche factory driver Laurens Vanthoor, Dries carved his own path through precision, and relentless speed. After rising through junior single-seaters, his breakthrough came with Audi Sport Team WRT, where he quickly became a central figure in the brand’s GT3 success. Between 2018 and 2022, he amassed victories across the Blancpain GT Series, Intercontinental GT Challenge, and Nürburgring 24 Hours, earning multiple championships and solidifying WRT’s dominance.

Among his greatest achievements are overall wins at the 24 Hours of Spa (2018 & 2020), 2019 and 2022 Nürburgring 24 Hours victory, and an unprecedented three consecutive Sprint Cup titles (2020–2022). His combination of pace, technical understanding, and calm professionalism has made him one of the most respected GT drivers on the grid.

In 2023, Vanthoor joined BMW M Motorsport as part of WRT’s transition from Audi to BMW, becoming a cornerstone of BMW’s renewed GT and Hypercar efforts. Competing in both the FIA World Endurance Championship and IMSA endurance rounds, he continues to build upon a legacy that bridges two of the sport’s most successful manufacturers.

Still in the prime of his career, Dries Vanthoor represents the modern endurance driver, precise, relentless, and deeply connected to the evolving story of European GT racing.
