ABOUT THE

CADILLAC RACING

PROGRAM
Rooted in American engineering excellence and defined by relentless endurance performance, Cadillac Racing has emerged as one of the most successful and respected prototype programs of the 21st century. From its early LMP roots to its modern GTP hybrid dominance, the brand has united power, precision, and luxury in a form few manufacturers have matched.

Cadillac’s endurance legacy began in the early 2000s with the Northstar LMP program, marking the marque’s return to Le Mans and prototype competition. While short-lived, the effort paved the way for a new generation of Cadillac prototypes that would come to define IMSA’s modern era.

In 2017, Cadillac debuted the DPi-V.R, signaling a return to dominance in North American endurance racing. Across the 2017, 2018, and 2019 IMSA WeatherTech Championships, Cadillac captured three consecutive Manufacturers’ and Teams’ titles, alongside victories in the Rolex 24 at Daytona (2017, 2018) and the 12 Hours of Sebring (2017). That success revived the golden era of American prototypes, pairing technical innovation with unmistakable Cadillac power.

The launch of the V-Series.R hybrid GTP car in 2023 expanded Cadillac’s reach to the world stage. In its debut season, the marque achieved overall victory at Sebring, a third-place finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the 2023 IMSA GTP Manufacturer’s Championship, milestones that confirmed Cadillac’s competitive strength in the new hybrid endurance era.

Each modern Cadillac prototype reflects the philosophy behind the brand’s V-Series road cars: engineered precision, raw strength, and bold design. Through partnerships with Chip Ganassi Racing and Action Express Racing, Cadillac continued to compete at the highest level of endurance racing, from Daytona to Le Mans.
